Breathing bench
The breathing bench is designed to provides a bubble of clean air on the metro platform. The air in the Paris metro is the most polluted in the city because of the fine particles released when the trains brake. The bench houses an ionisation air filter developed by Suez for the City of Paris, that captures these particles. The source of clean air thus becomes the central element of the platform, around which people gather.
